Terms of service
Last updated 6 October 2026
The short version
- Linup is a tool for organising your household’s money and habits. It is not financial advice.
- 30 days free for a new household, then £1.50 a month for each person in it who signs in, by Direct Debit. Children’s profiles without a login are free.
- You can stop at any time. Your rights under consumer law are not affected by anything here.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Curavest Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15433116), registered office 334 Reading Road, Winnersh, Wokingham, England, RG41 5EJ. We provide Linup through linup.io, app.linup.io and the Linup app. Contact us at privacy@linup.io.
By creating an account or joining a household you accept these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your information.
2. Who can use Linup
- You must be 13 or over to have a login.
- To create a household or set up payment you must be 18 or over and live in the UK.
- Teenagers (13 to 17) join a household by invitation from an adult in it. The adults who invite them are responsible for checking that Linup is suitable for them.
- Children under 13 cannot have a login. An adult in the household may create a profile for them and is responsible for it, including deciding who can see it.
3. Your household
A household is shared. The adults who run it decide who joins, what each person can see and do, and whether optional features such as Ask Linup are switched on. Please only add people with their agreement, or, for a child, with the agreement of someone with parental responsibility for them. Keep your login to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with it.
4. Price, trial and payment
- A new household gets 30 days free. You don’t need to set up payment to start.
- After that, Linup costs £1.50 a month for each member of the household who has a login. Profiles for children under 13, which have no login, are free.
- Payment is by Direct Debit through GoCardless, monthly. Your bank’s Direct Debit Guarantee applies. The amount is worked out from the number of members with a login; if that number changes, the new amount applies from the next billing period.
- If the free trial ends without a Direct Debit, or a Direct Debit stops, the household becomes read-only: everyone can still see everything, but nothing new can be added until payment is set up again. Deleting your account or closing the household always remains possible.
- We may change the price. We will tell the household at least 30 days before a new price applies, and you can stop before it does.
5. Stopping
- You can stop paying at any time by cancelling the Direct Debit with your bank, or by asking us at privacy@linup.io. You won’t be charged again. We don’t refund the part of a month already paid for, unless the law requires us to.
- When the adults who run a household close it, its records are deleted after a 30-day pause, as described in our privacy notice, and we cancel its Direct Debit then. A payment that falls due during the pause is still collected.
- You can delete your own account in the app at any time.
6. Linup is not financial advice
Linup helps you record, organise and plan your household’s money. Projections such as a debt-free date, net worth over time, scores and “what if” figures are estimates, calculated from the information and assumptions you enter, and real outcomes will differ. Linup does not give regulated financial, investment, tax, debt or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to take a particular product or action. For advice, speak to a qualified adviser. Free, impartial help is available from MoneyHelper.
7. Ask Linup and suggestions
Ask Linup and AI suggestions use an AI model to understand questions and word answers. Figures in answers are worked out by Linup’s own calculations, but the wording can still be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important. A suggested change is never made until someone confirms it. The adults who run a household can switch these features off.
8. Using Linup properly
Please don’t:
- use Linup to break the law, or to harass, harm or deceive anyone;
- try to reach information you aren’t allowed to see, or get round Linup’s security, privacy settings or payment;
- copy, resell or overload the service, or use automated tools against it.
If someone breaks these terms in a serious way, we may suspend or close their access. Where we can, we will tell them first and explain why.
9. Your information
What you and your household enter belongs to you. You allow us to store and process it only to provide Linup to you, as our privacy notice describes.
10. The service
We work to keep Linup available, accurate and secure, and to fix problems quickly, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted or contain errors. We improve Linup over time and may change or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we will tell you first. The Android app is currently installed from linup.io rather than an app store, and updates itself.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our failure, or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for decisions you make relying on Linup’s estimates (see section 6), or for business losses, because Linup is for personal and household use.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you don’t accept it, you can stop using Linup before it takes effect.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please tell us about any problem at privacy@linup.io first, so we can try to put it right.
