Your privacy, in plain words
For teenagers using Linup · last updated 6 October 2026
This page explains what Linup keeps about you and who can see it. The full version is our privacy notice. Linup is run by a company called Curavest Ltd.
What Linup knows about you
- Your name, email, date of birth, and a photo if you add one.
- What you put in: spends, your budget, habits, chores, goals, coins and rewards.
- Questions you ask Ask Linup, if your household has it switched on.
Linup never connects to a bank account, and it doesn’t show you adverts or track you around the internet.
Who can see it
- Your own spending and budget are seen by you and the adults who run your household.
- Your habits and goals start off private, so only you see them unless you share them.
- Things you share with the family, like chores or a campaign, are seen by the people you share them with.
- Some household figures may be hidden from you by the adults who run the household.
Ask Linup
If your household uses Ask Linup, your question goes to an AI company to be understood. That company may be outside the UK. Its answers only use things you are already allowed to see. Don’t put anything in a question that you wouldn’t want stored. Linup keeps the conversation so you can read it again.
Sharing your month
If you make a share post, anyone with the link can see it, so only send it to people you trust, and think before posting it publicly.
What you can do
- Change your details in the app.
- Ask to see a copy of what Linup keeps about you.
- Delete your account in the app. Your name, date of birth and photo are removed, and so is your sign-in. Spends you added stay in the household’s shared records, marked “Erased member”.
- Complain if something doesn’t feel right. You can email us, and you can also go to the ICO, which makes sure companies follow the law: ico.org.uk.
Email privacy@linup.io with any question. You don’t need an adult to do this for you. If something worries you, it’s also fine to talk to an adult you trust.
